The Registration of Persons Act, No.32 of 1968, as amended by the Registration of Persons (Amendment) Act, No.08 of 2016, is an act to provide for the registration of all Sri Lankan citizens, for the issuance of National Identity cards to the eligible citizens so registered and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
