The general public is kindly informed that due to an unexpected failure that occurred at 1.30 p.m. on 26.03.2026 in the computer system of the Department for Registration of Persons, all public services, including the one day service at the Head Office and all Provincial Offices will not be held from 27.03.2026 pending the restoration of the system and further notice.

Taking steps to face the potential difficulties in fuel supply in the future, due to the war situation that has arisen within the Middle East Region, every Wednesday shall be considered a holiday for operations of government offices until further notice, In accordance with Public administration circular no 09/2026 dated 17.03.2026. Hence, kindly inform that all public services of the Department for Registration of Persons will not be held on Wednesdays until further notice and public services will be conducted as usual on other working days of the week.
